Alex Borodin, an expatriate of Belarus, moved to the United States in 1993 and landed in Atlanta, GA. Brought up with the sound of techno and constantly searching for harsher, grittier vibes he soon found his true calling. Under the name Nano, Alex started to spin and produce DnB, gathering local and international attention with his talent.
He moved to Chicago in 2004 and joined up with like minded dj/producer Aamano, incidentally also a former Atlanta resident. It all came together when they wrote a remix of the opening theme song to the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Borrowing the name of the Special Forces unit from the very same franchise, the two were, from that point on, known as Section 9. Holding regular showcases along side the MIA crew they were responsible for some of the hardest sounds heard in Chicago and appeared in Rinse Magazine, which is focused on North American DnB. Having contributed to the Midwest drum'n'bass scene, Nano, now back in Atlanta, is ready to dominate the sound systems in the Southeast. Look out!
